The Charlotte Campus

Welcome from the Dean

In October 2020, the Charlotte campus celebrated its 9th anniversary. It was here that Northeastern University opened its first regional campus within the university’s global network. Located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte, the campus serves employers and adult working professionals across the Greater Southeast region. It is also a campus backed by the richness of Northeastern’s partnerships with businesses and communities around the globe that have existed for more than a century.

With the diversification of industries and individuals representing companies and cultures around the globe, Charlotte is uniquely poised for the global stage. In the past year, our campus has supported the region’s growing needs by providing graduate, bachelor’s completion, and/or certificate programs in health informatics, project management, leadership, education, and business through our signature experiential model of education. As a result, the Charlotte campus is advancing global connections and preparing our regional workforce through programs that impact the world in finance, energy, healthcare, education, and high tech.

We are committed to Charlotte’s residents and businesses—bringing many of the vast resources of our top-tier, nonprofit private research university to the region. Our students and local employers also have access to our unparalleled cooperative education program, which now reaches 92 different countries and spans all seven continents. Further, Northeastern’s 40-plus research centers represent collaborations among global partners and leading scholars who drive solutions to challenges in health, security, and sustainability.

We are excited to connect such a wealth of university resources and programs with the people and employers who position our region to flourish in the new global economy. We look forward to helping you realize the potential that awaits!
