Some of these resources are specific to our Charlotte campus and some are benefits of any Northeastern student. Below are ways to enrich your experience and find the tools you need to succeed.
The Northeastern University Library is at the hub of university intellectual life. Visit this link to access the University Libraries in Charlotte and view a video. Resources include more than 900,000 print volumes, 206,500 e-books, and 70,225 electronic journals.
The Graduate Catalog contains Northeastern University’s primary statements about student academic life, conduct, and the responsibilities of students and the university to one another, as authorized by the president or the Board of Trustees.

Writing Center – Mobile Consulting
The Writing Center is made up of Northeastern writing instructors, graduate students, and undergraduate students studying composition theory, literature, and technical writing. The Writing Center offers online consulting for any level writer. We work with graduate students from all academic disciplines, as well as native English speakers and speakers of other languages.
Northeastern University has processes and resources to ensure that students’ grievances are treated with respect and addressed in a fair and professional manner. Both formal and informal means to resolve issues are available. For assistance, students may contact the Charlotte campus Associate Dean Peg Bernhard. Confidential services with the Graduate Ombudsperson are also available to graduate and post-baccalaureate students.

Free Wi-Fi and Technology Checkout
For those students looking for a place to get their work done, the Charlotte campus offers free Wi-Fi to help enhance the online Northeastern experience. Need to post an assignment or log on to your course during the day? Utilize our iMacs on campus.
Group Study Areas
Enjoy the benefits of meeting with classmates to work on projects or study together in one of our resource and lounge areas. Students can reserve space for individual study and small group meetings during weekday business hours.

Student Access Procedure
Northeastern students are required to swipe their elevator badges in the elevator to access the 11th Floor. Elevator badges are provided through the campus operations manager and remain active until your graduation from the Charlotte Campus. The 11th Floor elevators are locked 24/7, which allows us to ensure appropriate access, as well as a high level of security for everyone.
CATS Discounted Tickets
Discounted tickets are now available for the Charlotte Area Transit System. Five different types of tickets for different modes of transportation are available, each offering a 10 percent discount. See flyer for additional details.

Student Financial Services is committed to helping you navigate the process of applying for federal financial aid and alternative loans.
myNortheastern is an electronic gateway for the Northeastern community and offers one-stop shopping for faculty, staff, and enrolled and admitted students. Services are targeted to members of the Northeastern community by role, thereby providing a personally tailored experience. Campus news and departmental announcements are also accessible via the myNorthestern portal.
Information Services at Northeastern provides central information technology support to more than 25,000 students, faculty, and staff, who use our secure, high-speed connectivity to the internet through our on-campus network and a host of other services tailored to the online student.
Disability Resources Center
Students needing accommodations or services due to a disability are able to access the Disability Resource Center of Northeastern. There you will find information on the staff, services available, how to contact the DRC for more information and assistance, and forms you will need to access these services.
The Northeastern University Police Department (NUPD) publishes the university’s Annual Security & Fire Safety Report. The annual report includes information regarding university policies and resources related to personal safety, the securing of property, crime on and around campus, fire safety in residence halls, campus emergency procedures, and a description of the comprehensive services provided by our department. Also included are the statistics for the past three calendar years of crimes, residential hall fires, and other incidents that have occurred on or near the campus.
