Tom Mastro

About
Tom Mastro serves as Assistant Dean for Northeastern University’s Charlotte Campus, where he is a key member of the campus leadership team. In this role, he leads and coordinates efforts across academic program support, student services, faculty engagement, compliance, and innovation. His work focuses on strengthening recruitment and enrollment, enhancing the student experience, supporting academic innovation, and expanding start-up and industry engagement – helping to ensure the Charlotte campus thrives as a dynamic hub within Northeastern’s global university system.
Before joining Northeastern, Tom served as Director of Strategic Initiatives at The George Washington University’s College of Professional Studies. There, he led the implementation of the college’s strategic plan, managed operations for the Dean’s Office, and oversaw a broad portfolio of events and special projects for the Dean and the college.
Earlier in his career, Tom was the Director of Academic and Student Affairs at Binghamton University, where he oversaw departmental assessment and accreditation activities, along with student services within the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Educational Leadership. Tom holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Student Affairs Administration, a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development with a minor in Education from Binghamton University, and an Associate’s degree from SUNY Broome Community College.
