Our Team

Dr. Sensemillah Peters is a Speech-Language Pathologist and educator passionate about helping children and families reach their fullest potential through communication. She brings clinical experience in schools, early intervention, private practice, and skilled nursing facilities, giving her a broad perspective on communication disorders across the lifespan. At Northeastern, she is dedicated to preparing students to become confident and compassionate clinicians who can meet the needs of diverse communities.

Her academic interests include clinical education, early intervention, caregiver education, telehealth, and research in child language and literacy development. She has served in leadership and mentorship roles, guiding doctoral students through research design and implementation. Dr. Peters is committed to advancing equity in access to services, mentoring future clinicians, and fostering supportive and reflective learning environments. She believes that students grow best when they feel encouraged, challenged, and supported.

Outside of work, Dr. Peters enjoys spending quality time with her children and extended family. She finds joy in playing games that spark laughter and enjoying good food fresh off the grill. She also loves getting lost in a good show, which allows her to relax and recharge. These simple but meaningful moments bring balance to her life and remind her of what matters most.
