About

Grace Buttriss is an associate clinical professor and the director of the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Northeastern University’s Charlotte campus.

She is president-elect of the International Clinical Nurse Leader Association, an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing, and treasurer for the Charlotte Chapter of the National Association for Neonatal and Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She is also a practicing Family Nurse Practitioner for Newborn Services at Novant Health in Charlotte.

Buttriss has published chapters on Advanced Physical Assessment in the CNL Certification Review Textbook editions 1 and 2 and has served as an Item Writer for the Clinical Nurse Leader Certification Exam. She is co-author of the newly published textbook Pathophysiology, Physical Assessment and Pharmacology. She is also a reviewer for the International Journal of Clinical Nursing and Journal of Nursing Care Quality and has presented at local, state and national levels on the role of the Clinical Nurse Leader.
