About

Roxanne Ward, MS’15, serves as the Communications Manager at Northeastern University in Charlotte. In this role, she manages communications that drive awareness of and interest in university programs for corporate clients and organizational partners. She also works closely with campus leadership to grow community engagement initiatives and our signature community events.

Ward joined Northeastern’s Charlotte campus shortly after its launch in 2011. Throughout her tenure, she has established communications procedures, policies, and tools to support the campus. Her work at Northeastern and in previous roles has involved a variety of strategic communication, project management, consultation, and leadership initiatives.

Prior to joining Northeastern, Ward managed the office of the president at Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, North Carolina. She previously supported the president’s office at The Nature Conservancy, the world’s largest private conservation organization, headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. In addition to her nonprofit experience, Ward has also worked in various corporate industries including engineering, intellectual property/legal, finance, and commercial insurance.

Ward is a Northeastern University alumna with a master’s degree in corporate and organizational communication. She received a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Maryland University College, where she was an Orkand Scholar Fellow and graduated magna cum laude.
