Director, Learner and Employer Engagement
Carlie Houchins is a member of the leadership team at Northeastern’s Charlotte campus, responsible for all external efforts. Her portfolio includes brand building, partnership development and management, community engagement, and new student enrollment—all designed to grow the university’s impact throughout the region.
In her ten years with Northeastern, Houchins has proven herself as a strong campus leader with a focus on outcomes and a collaborator who values relationships. She first served as Director of Student Affairs and Faculty Service before moving into her current role. Ensuring the highest quality experience for students and partners is a hallmark of her tenure. Prior to joining Northeastern, she spent more than 20 years in industry, including Fortune 50 organizations such as Procter & Gamble and Wells Fargo.
Houchins received an EdD in educational leadership from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, an MBA in marketing management from the University of Connecticut, and a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
